What a day! The jury is still out as to whether a Friday scheduling was a winner. We had a wave of withdrawals in the final 7 days, which led to this being one of the smallest PMs since it started. For those who did attend, the weather was incredible. 27 degrees and not a breath of wind. We welcomed our 46th Master in Pete Papanastasiou (Jim's brother), and welcomed the return of Steve, Justin and Bob.
Here are some of the highlights/lowlights from the weekend:
Pete White becomes the most decorated Portsea Master (3 wins)
Young Tom Brownell now officially ranked 6th in the Comp
(and young Tom's longest drive on 17 was a cracker)
Hotel Sorrento dinner and Bond movies on Chairmans's evening
The Portsea Masters Bucket hats a big hit
Perfect weather - first time in a while!
St Andrews Beach course did not disappoint. Excellent conditioning
The most highly-skilled PM of all time 'off the stick' (avg. 11 Over)
Hole 9 had more Birdies (4) than any other hole in PM history
Johan and Dylan was ominous again, but Pete & Bob were on fire
Wal, PT, Jus & Steve had rounds they'd rather forget...
...whilst Runda with Frase played an amazing round.
Photography the best in ages - thank you Alex!
$340 funds raised for Lifeblood Australia
Lots of absences - I'll look to make 2024 the biggest ever.
You can see the final leaderboard attached. Here are some quick stats from the day:

Best Second 9 (Gross): 36 [1 Over] (Johan/Dylan)

Easiest Holes: Hole 9 (Punchbowl Par 4) and Hole 7 (1st Longest Drive hole)
Best score 'Off the Stick': 73 [3 Over] (Pete/Bob)
Average Net Score for the day: 71 [1 Over]
Average Score 'Off the Stick': 84 [11 over] (Best in PM History)
The Wine Winners: Jim Pappas & PT Hicks (The Rib Eyes are now the main prize)
Great work by all, and thanks to all of the helpers along the way - and a special thanks to Frase for being my driver for the weekend!
I look forward to a bigger PM than ever before in 2024 - Once again we'll be at St Andrews Beach, and most likely on a Sunday.
