2016 at Portsea GC: The Final Standings

Thank you everyone for making the pilgrimage to Portsea and experiencing the Masters this year. I hope the course wasn't too hard & now you'll all be ready for all those blind corners in years to come! It will be a tall order to beat the perfect conditions we experienced this year.

Here are some of the highlights from the day:​

  • The Carts. They will be a necessity every year now.

  • Biggest turnout so far - 24 on the day! $500 raised for charity.

  • Rick & Brett surprising all with their Drives & Closest to Pin

  • The amount of lost balls skyrocketed this year

  • Sorrento Front Bar footy was an absolute winner

  • Next door neighbour's house an absolute lifesaver

  • Karl Kopp's night's sleep 'al fresco'

  • Stevie's Good Morning Burgers - the call is for sausages next year as well!

Best First 9: 41 [5 Over] (Steve/Hannas)

Best Second 9: 38 [3 Over] (Justin/SOB)

Three 9's for the day:

  • 3rd (Brett/Doug)

  • 8th (Jim/Ben)

  • 11th (JB/George)

Six Birdies this year:

  • 1st (Ben/Jono)

  • 2nd (Doug/Brett)

  • 10th (James/Jan)

  • 12th (Cam/Rich)

  • 14th (SOB/Justin)

  • 16th (Russ/Michael)

Hardest Holes: A tie between 5th, 9th & 15th. All short par 4s with a blind first shot!

Easiest Holes: 1st (Par 4), 11th (Par 5) & 3rd (Par 3), in that order

Best score 'Off the Stick': 81 [10 Over] (Cam/Rich)

Average Net Score for the day: 72 [1 Over]

Average Score 'Off the Stick': 91 [20 over]
